The idea for Citizen Now came to life in late 2019. One of our founders was preparing for his own U.S. citizenship test. He looked for an app to help him study, but he found the available options clunky and hard to use. He knew we could do better.
So, we put our skills to work. We built Citizen Now from the ground up to be the tool we wanted to see: reliable, well-designed, and truly helpful. We launched the first version in January 2020.
People loved it. The app grew steadily. Today, over a million people have downloaded Citizen Now. It’s one of the top apps in its category, with a 4.9-star rating from nearly 70,000 reviews. Every single day, more than 10,000 people use it to prepare for their exam.
What started as a simple, practical solution is now a passionate mission. Our small team has grown to include developers, designers, and content experts—all focused on one thing: creating clear, high-quality tools that make a real difference.
We’ve expanded to help future citizens in Canada and Australia. We’re also building new solutions, like Case Now, for broader immigration processes.
We work independently, without outside clients. This lets us pour all of our energy into our own products. We build tools we believe in, for people who need them.
